Erin's Law

Erin's Law requires public schools to provide child sexual abuse prevention education for children in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. Learn more about the curriculum for each grade level here.

Kindergarten Registration

School District 21 Kindergarten and new first grade registration for next fall will begin February 1st, 2016. You can register at Tarkington on weekdays, when school is in session, between the hours of 9:30am and 3:00pm. Tarkington will also be offering an evening registration on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

Tarkington College Scholarship Application

The NEU Tarkington Scholarship will provide a $500 scholarship to a former Tarkington student who attended Tarkington beginning with the year it was accepted as a No Excuses university school; our 2008-2009 fifth graders. This scholarship application must be submitted by April 1, 2016.

Kids in Action

Children in Action is the Wheeling Park District before- and after-school care program for children in grades K-5 who attend Tarkington, Field, Twain, and Whitman schools.
